2004 Build-A-Boat Challenge

During this charity event for the Ocean Institute, PRP members "judged" the various entries, issuing citations for alleged infringement of the rules (most of which were concocted on the spot). The boat builders could attempt to bribe the judges with all kinds of things: food, drink, T-shirts and other goodies. One PRP member accepted a ride in a sheriff's Humvee; chocolate chip cookies from the Doubletree Hotel were popular; and Rumba Rue proved to be the "piratiest" of them all, issuing many citations and taking home a goodly amount of plunder.

PRP looks forward to participating in next year's Challenge!
